Imperial War Museum Visit

Art department trip to the Imperial War Museum, London.

As part of their coursework project 'War and Conflict' Mr King's Year 11 Art and Design group visited the Imperial War Museum on 31st of October 2018. This was a very interesting visit which gave our students an insight into the various wars and conflicts that had happened since the First World War. King Henry students were able to look at objects and vehicles that had been used in past conflicts and make observational drawings and photographs from them. The museum also gave us a talk about the Holocaust exhibition which involved a question and answer session with the group. Students were left with a deeper understanding of the harrowing and tragic events of the Holocaust and have produced a variety of artistic responses to the visit.
