Christmas Jumper Day and End of Term arrangements

December 2018

Dear Parents/Carers

RE: End of Term Arrangements

After a successful first term here at King Henry School, we would like to thank you for your ongoing support in ensuring ongoing improvement.
As we approach the end of term, we wanted to update you in regard to end of term arrangements.

Wednesday 19th December- Own Clothes Day

We are planning an ‘Own Clothes or Festive Jumper Day’ on Wednesday 19th December 2018. Students will be asked to pay £1.00 for this privilege.

The money raised will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

To ensure that the ‘Own Clothes or Festive Jumper Day’ goes smoothly students should wear either a Christmas Jumper or festive colours. We ask that students avoid extremes of fashion and make sure they are wearing clothes that are suitable and comfortable in which to work. The usual ban on hats and jewellery will remain.

Thursday 20th December- End of Term

Students should arrive as usual in full school uniform and ready and equipped to learn.
Normal lessons will take place from period 1 to period 4.
Year 7 and 8 will be dismissed at 13:00
All other year groups will be dismissed at 13:20
Any student who requires a meal from the canteen will be able to do this at break time.
We ask that students make their way home as soon as possible after the end of the school day.
Students will then return to King Henry School on Tuesday 8th January 2019.
We wish you all the very best over the Winter Break and look forward to continuing our work together in the New Year.

Yours Sincerely

Miss Hayley Gibbs

Deputy Headteacher
